Whanganui River Adventures provides a friendly outdoor and wilderness taxi service. Designed for trampers we cater for small and large groups.
An introduction to walking our New Zealand Central North Island, Whanganui National Park tracks.
Walk and Tent overnight or spend 3/4 days tramping and tenting (no DoC huts) along the Mangapurua Track (often called "The Valley of the Abandoned Dreams", but better know as "The Bridge to Nowhere" track.
Get dropped off or picked up at the Whanganui River end of the Matemateaonga Track. This walk has DoC huts on the track or camp out under the stars with a good strong tent.
We can offer safe car parking at either end of the tracks. Car ferrying to and from the track ends can be arranged. Hut passes can be obtained from any local DoC office.
