Get off the beaten track and explore the natural & untouched Whanganui River on one of our Jet Boat or Canoe Tours. Be immersed in our local indigenous Māori & Pre-European culture by local river people - tangata whenua o te awa -  for a truly unique experience and memory.

 

WINTER OPERATING TOUR DAYS:

Please note we are operating our jet boat winter days which are as follows for all jet boat tours:

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - min 2 adults or more.

Mon/Wed/Fri - min 4 adults or more, please contact us directly if you want to do a tour on these days.

 

CANOE/KAYAK TOURS:

These tours are available only during the summer months of October to April and are dependant on conditions.

 

CAMP GROUND:

Our camping grounds are closed from: 1st June - 31st August 2021 for maintenance.

They will re-open September 2021.

 

MANGAPURUA TRACK WINTER CLOSURES:

Mangapurua Bridge to Nowhere Mountain Bike trail is closed from the start of Ruatiti Road to The Monument, Bridge to Nowhere until October 22nd 2021 (Watch for updates).

 

The "Bridge to Nowhere" icon walk to Whanganui River remains OPEN.

Traveller with Little Time

  3.5-5 hours

Jet boat upriver with stops along the way to enjoy local history and stories of the river before you paddle yourself/s back to Pipiriki, exploring and enjoying the native scenery, deep river gorges and some of the more exciting rapids along the way.

The Bridge To Nowhere One Day Ride

  8-10 hours

The Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail is the most diverse in NZ. With numerous sections beginning in Ruapehu, the final stage brings you down the Whanganui River Road.
